AT THE TOP
OF THE CALDERA

At the top of the caldera, overlooking the sea, the 1956s-era building that houses KALIYA, offers an idyllic setting on the island of Santorini. The name of the restaurant is a tribute to kallos, the virtue that once gave name to Santorini.  According to local history, the island before gaining its current name, was known as Kallístē - "the most beautiful one". Now, KALIYA stands in the highest part of Thira, emerging as a benchmark of the island’s beauty. A representation of taste.

Its menu introduces the guests to the re-imagined Greek cuisine and invites them to savour the islandic experience. The mouth-watering dishes offer a serenade for the palette, through exquisite taste and
lingering flavours.
Dishes, with respect for wellness, meticulously presented, complement the high-quality experience that is promised.
And when the sun finally kisses the horizon, one can indulge in the flavour some handcrafted cocktails
that flows until the late hours.
KALIYA has forged a style of its own that delivers a complete experience of aesthetic and hospitality to its guests. A philosophy of sublime taste and finesse that merge to create an inspired atmosphere.
Against the orange-blue hued sky, the restaurant echoes the natural world that surrounds it. The balcony, as well as the light-drenched dining room offers a panoramic view of the sea and the volcano.
Integrating the sunset, the volcanic terrain, the sea and blooming nature, it furnishes a relaxing ambience in the bohemian style.
